Supporting Children with Cancer at Great Ormond Street Hospital

One of many of our successful projects
We are delighted to share a truly special milestone in our journey of compassion and community. Children came together to support an important cause, raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Taking part in a paintballing event, they showed great passion and determination in raising money to support children battling cancer. Their energy, teamwork, and commitment truly reflect the spirit of giving and community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the children and families who took part and contributed to this meaningful cause. Your efforts are making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

House of Giving

House of Giving is a UK-based charity dedicated to transforming lives through compassion, dignity, and community support. Established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were founded in response to the urgent and unprecedented challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities worldwide.

Since then, we have grown into a strong network of committed volunteers, donors, and supporters, working together to tackle poverty, hunger, and inequality both locally across England and Wales and internationally.

We are proud to work with people of all faiths and backgrounds, promoting inclusivity, unity, and respect in everything we do.

We are on the ground

House of Giving delivers support both locally and internationally, reaching communities in need across:

  • England and Wales
  • Bangladesh
  • Ghana
  • India
  • Pakistan
  • The Gambia
  • Uganda
  • Yemen

England - Across England and Wales, poverty continues to affect millions of individuals and families, limiting access to basic needs and opportunities. Recent data shows that around 20% of people in the UK are living on low incomes, rising to higher levels once housing costs are considered. Child poverty remains a major concern, with over 2.7 million children (around 22%) living in low-income households, and significantly higher rates in some communities. These figures highlight the growing challenges many families face, including financial insecurity, reduced access to education and services, and long-term impacts on health and wellbeing.

Bangladesh – Around one in five people live below the national poverty line, with challenges such as overpopulation, natural disasters, and limited access to healthcare and clean water.

Ghana – While the economy is growing, many rural communities still experience poverty, limited infrastructure, and unequal access to jobs and education (common across parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, where poverty remains high).

India – Despite economic progress, millions still live in poverty, particularly in rural and informal communities with limited access to consistent income and services.

Pakistan – Many families face financial hardship due to inflation, unemployment, and natural disasters, which increase food insecurity and vulnerability.

The Gambia – As a small developing country, it faces widespread poverty, especially in rural areas, with limited employment opportunities and resources.

Uganda – A significant portion of the population lives in poverty, particularly in rural areas, with limited access to education, healthcare, and stable income.

Yemen – One of the most severe humanitarian crises globally, with over half the population living in extreme poverty due to ongoing conflict and economic collapse.
