Founder & CEO

Nasir Hussain is a qualified electrician, registered foster carer, and entrepreneur with extensive experience across a range of sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully founded and managed several businesses, spanning industries from food services to social care.

As the Founder, Chair and CEO of House of Giving, Nasir is dedicated to creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and empowering vulnerable individuals to reach their full potential. His passion for social impact and community development drives the organisation’s mission to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive change.

Under Nasir’s leadership, House of Giving continues to develop innovative initiatives that support individuals, families, and communities in overcoming challenges and building brighter futures.

Ammna A Hussain

Co-Founder, Trustee & Head of Safeguarding and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

Ammna is a Trustee of House of Giving, providing strategic leadership in Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. She ensures the charity upholds the highest standards of protection, ethical practice, and inclusivity across all programmes in the UK and internationally.

She holds a Master’s in Education, a PGCE, and a Business Management degree, giving her a strong blend of educational expertise and organisational insight that supports effective governance and long‑term strategy.

With over 15 years of experience in education, alongside her roles as a foster carer and school governor, Ammna has consistently championed the rights and wellbeing of vulnerable children across London.

Driven by a belief in empowerment, education, and hope, she plays a key role in shaping House of Giving’s safeguarding culture and strengthening its commitment to fairness, dignity, and inclusive practice. Her dedication contributes directly to the charity’s mission to empower communities, protect the vulnerable, improve lives, and give back to the community.

Muhammad Abul Kalam

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Muhammad Abul Kalam serves as the Fractional Chief Operating Officer at House of Giving, providing strategic leadership across operations, fundraising, marketing, partnerships, and organisational growth. With more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in the humanitarian and charitable sector, he has helped organisations raise millions of pounds, build high-performing teams, and develop sustainable growth strategies that deliver lasting social impact.

At House of Giving, Muhammad leads the charity’s income generation and growth agenda, overseeing fundraising, brand, communications, strategic partnerships, and business development. He works closely with the Board and leadership team to strengthen the organisation’s capacity, expand its reach, and ensure every initiative contributes to the charity’s long-term mission and sustainability.

Throughout his career, Muhammad has worked with leading UK and international charities, corporate partners, philanthropists, community organisations, and faith-based institutions. His expertise spans fundraising strategy, donor engagement, marketing, digital transformation, governance, and organisational development, enabling charities to build resilient income streams while deepening supporter trust and engagement.

Taher Sheikh

Head of Operations

Taher Sheikh serves as Head of Operations at House of Giving, bringing extensive leadership and operational management experience gained through his career with one of the UK’s leading supermarket organisations.

He oversees the charity’s day to day operations, ensuring that programmes and services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and with the highest standards of care and professionalism. His expertise in operational planning, logistics, resource management, and team leadership helps strengthen the organisation’s ability to support individuals and families in need.

Working closely with the executive team and trustees, Taher plays a key role in developing effective processes, supporting organisational growth, and ensuring that House of Giving continues to operate with transparency, accountability, and purpose.

Guided by a strong commitment to compassion, dignity, and community service, Taher is dedicated to helping House of Giving create meaningful and lasting positive change for the communities it serves.

Sabbir Ahmed

Trustee, Legal Lead

Sabbir Ahmed serves as a Trustee and Legal Lead at House of Giving, bringing professional legal expertise and a strong commitment to ethical governance. As a qualified Solicitor, he provides guidance and oversight to help ensure the charity operates with integrity, accountability, and in accordance with its legal and regulatory responsibilities.

Working closely with the Board of Trustees, Sabbir supports effective governance, risk management, and sound decision-making, helping to safeguard the charity’s mission and long-term sustainability. His legal insight contributes to the development of policies and practices that enable House of Giving to serve communities with transparency and professionalism.

Fahim Ahmed

Trustee

Fahim Ahmed serves as a Trustee of House of Giving, bringing valuable experience in management, event planning, and community engagement. His passion for serving others and building strong community relationships supports the charity’s mission of helping individuals and families overcome hardship and access opportunities to thrive.

As a member of the Board of Trustees, Fahim contributes to the strategic development and governance of the organisation, helping to ensure that House of Giving continues to deliver its work with integrity, compassion, and accountability. His experience in organising community initiatives and events helps strengthen engagement, encourage participation, and foster a sense of belonging.

Jahangir Ahmed

Social & Youth Lead

Jahangir Ahmed serves as the Social & Youth Lead at House of Giving, where he is responsible for developing and delivering programmes that engage, inspire, and empower young people within the community.

Having grown in a working class household within the heart of Tower Hamlets, Jahangir based his career around youth work and working with special educstional needs students. Starting as a volunteer at his local youth club, to working with student in a secondary school.

Passionate about youth development and community cohesion, Jahangir works closely with young people, families, schools, and partner organisations to create opportunities that promote personal growth, wellbeing, leadership, and social inclusion

Graham Russ

Scouts Leader & Food Bank Volunteer

Graham Russ is a dedicated community volunteer, long-serving Scouts Leader, and experienced telecommunications engineer. With a lifelong commitment to supporting and mentoring others, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge, leadership, and community spirit to House of Giving.

As a Food Bank Volunteer, Graham plays an important role in helping ensure that individuals and families facing hardship are welcomed with dignity, compassion, and respect. His hands-on approach and willingness to serve wherever needed make him a valued member of the House of Giving team.

Passionate about community service and helping others reach their potential, Graham shares House of Giving’s commitment to strengthening communities and creating opportunities for people to thrive. Nivin Manukkara

IT Specialist & Support

Nivin Kumar serves as IT Specialist & Support at House of Giving, ensuring the charity’s technology systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. He plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s digital infrastructure, helping staff, volunteers, and stakeholders stay connected and equipped to deliver services effectively.

With expertise in IT support, systems management, and digital solutions, Nivin helps maintain the technology that underpins House of Giving’s day to day operations. His proactive approach to problem solving and commitment to continuous improvement contribute to a seamless and productive working environment.
